Slaughter at Bluebeard High:

A Night of Music, Mascara and Murder

Slaughter at Bluebeard High is a fast-paced night of music, murder, mystery and mayhem and a laugh-out-loud piece of theatre restaurant which starts this weekend at the Bairnsdale Sporting and Convention Centre in Lucknow. The show is produced by Bairnsdale Production Line Theatre Company and is a distinct change from its normal theatre presentations.

“It’s naughty without being rude, it’s funny, there are some great songs and there is a lot of audience participation” says director, John Lewis. “And if you want more than that, supper is provided in the cost of the ticket.”

The plot revolves around the ghost of Gilles De Rais (thought to have been the inspiration for the Bluebeard fairytale) who haunts the upmarket girls academy which bears his name, the quest to save the school’s historic building status, the battle for the great interschool championship and of course the gruesome murders of a number of students.

Slaughter at Bluebeard High was written by Queensland playwright Paul Collings and Production Line is very pleased to again present an Australian written piece. If you are looking for a great night out you can’t do better.

Show dates are July 30 and 31 and August 6 and 7 at 7.30pm.

with matinees on August 1 and 8 at 1.30pm

Tickets are available through the Bairnsdale Sporting and Convention Centre.
